Rezultatele împăcării cu Dumnezeu
1 Aşadar, fiind făcuţi drepţi prin credinţă, suntem împăcaţi cu Dumnezeu, prin Domnul nostru Iisus Hristos, 2 prin care avem cale deschisă, prin credinţă, către harul acesta în care ne aflăm şi cu care ne lăudăm în nădejdea slavei lui Dumnezeu. 3 Şi nu numai atât, ci ne lăudăm şi în necazuri, ştiind că necazul aduce răbdare, 4 iar răbdarea aduce biruinţă în încercare, iar încercarea nădejde. 5 Iar nădejdea nu ne face de ruşine, pentru că iubirea lui Dumnezeu a fost revărsată în inimile noastre prin Duhul Sfânt care ne-a fost dat. 6 Fiindcă, pe când eram noi încă slabi, Hristos a murit, la vremea potrivită, pentru cei nelegiuiţi. 7 Într-adevăr, cu greu ar muri cineva pentru un om drept; totuşi, pentru un om bun poate se mai găseşte cineva să moară. 8 Dar Dumnezeu şi-a arătat iubirea pentru noi prin aceea că, pe când eram noi încă păcătoşi, Hristos a murit pentru noi. 9 Cu atât mai mult acum, aşadar, fiind îndreptăţiţi prin sângele Lui, vom fi scăpaţi, prin El, de mânia lui Dumnezeu. 10 Căci, dacă pe când eram vrăjmaşi am fost împăcaţi cu Dumnezeu prin moartea Fiului Său, cu atât mai mult acum, fiind împăcaţi, vom fi mântuiţi prin viaţa Lui. 11 Şi nu numai atât, ci ne şi lăudăm în Dumnezeu prin Domnul nostru Iisus Hristos, prin care am primit acum împăcarea.
Păcatul lui Adam şi harul lui Hristos
12 De aceea, aşa cum păcatul a intrat în lume printr-un om iar prin păcat, moartea, tot aşa şi moartea a ajuns la toţi oamenii pentru că toţi au păcătuit. 13 Păcatul era în lume şi înainte de Lege, însă păcatul nu era socotit ca atare câtă vreme nu exista o lege. 14 Totuşi, moartea a stăpânit de la Adam până la Moise şi peste cei care nu păcătuiseră printr-o călcare de lege asemănătoare cu cea a lui Adam, care este prefigurarea Celui ce avea să vină. 15 Însă cu darul nu este la fel cum a fost cu greşeala: căci dacă prin greşeala unuia singur mulţi au murit, cu atât mai mult harul lui Dumnezeu şi darul Lui au fost revărsate cu îmbelşugare asupra multora prin harul unui singur om, Iisus Hristos. 16 Şi darul nu seamănă cu ceea ce a adus acel unul care a păcătuit: căci judecarea unui singur om a dus la osândire, pe când harul dat după multe greşeli duce la îndreptăţire. 17 Pentru că, dacă în urma greşelii unuia singur moartea a stăpânit prin acela, cu atât mai mult cei care primesc belşugul harului şi al darului dreptăţii vor domni în viaţă prin acest Unul singur Iisus Hristos. 18 Prin urmare, aşa cum prin greşeala unuia singur a venit pentru toţi oamenii osânda, tot astfel, prin actul de dreptate al Unuia singur a venit pentru toţi oamenii îndreptăţirea care dă viaţă. 19 Fiindcă aşa cum, prin neascultarea unui singur om, cei mulţi au devenit păcătoşi, tot astfel, prin ascultarea Unuia singur, cei mulţi vor fi făcuţi drepţi. 20 Iar Legea a venit ca să se înmulţească greşeala, însă unde s-a înmulţit păcatul, s-a revărsat din belşug şi harul, 21 pentru ca, aşa cum păcatul a domnit prin moarte, tot astfel şi harul să domnească prin dreptate spre viaţă veşnică, prin Iisus Hristos Domnul nostru.
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so , but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so , but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
